Make connections that are more personal, or make more personal connections in general? Both, actually.. We believe that the key to doing more positive business is through forming deep personal relationships and connections for building up trust in the people you're doing business with.

One of the main underlying themes and driving factors of SILKROAD 4.0 is to encourage international and cross-cultural understanding between countries and peaceful co-existence between peoples, regions and different parts of the world using innovation, inspiration and technology as a language, a vehicle and a platform for causing positive change.

Our Environmental Strategy focuses on tackling the underlying causes that are driving nature's decline, the unsustainable food system and climate change. We have therefore set an ambitious target of reducing carbon emissions from business operations and travel as much as we can, using e-vehicles where possible, as well as renewable energy-driven transport services and other forms of low-impact transportation and mobility solutions.

Why did we establish in Vienna? Because of its geographic location in the centre of Europe at the start or end point of the Silk Road trade routes between Europe and China? Or because of the favourable business climate and access to highly qualified talent, personnel, networks, support, collaboration possibilities, high-quality resources and future technologies?

We use KTM Adventure Motorcycles because of their 'Ready To Race' mindset, and the great combination of cutting-edge technologies and an extremely offroad-capable machine, which we can rely on to get us both into and out of the many different types of landscapes and other strange situations that we encounter on our overland expeditions.

Smart Technology is the means but our travels and connections are the purpose. All members of our Open Caravan Initiative™️ have their own personal cause and Silkroad 4.0 drives this purpose further. We provide a framework for new and beneficial connections to be made, forged, carved and developed.

Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the SDGs are a call for serious action by all countries to promote prosperity while also protecting the environment. They recognize that ending poverty must work with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, equality and employment, while tackling climate change and working to preserve our ocean and forests.

As we're on the road a lot, we get to experience many different countries, societies, cities, and civilisations, all with wildly different ways of living a life. Designing your life to maximise the advantages of generating income from some places and spending it in others, the concept of Geoarbitrage is not a new one and people have always relocated to design a better life for themselves.

At a time when remote working has become a business lifestyle choice, and ever-changing technology accelerates our global economy, we bring intellectual geoarbitrage and human connections to business, in order to compete and collaborate in today's global world.

2020 brings a series of Smart City Events along the Silkroad 4.0 expedition route. Our 'Smart Tech Consortium' aims to bring together a global community of technology leaders and pioneers using an open innovation approach for facilitating access to new ideas, resources, supply chains and production networks opening new markets and making more efficient use of resources.

One of the best ways we can think of to grow, learn and interact with our members and networks, is through events, roadshows, talks, expeditions, presentations, meetups, random meetings, or just by being in the right place at the right time.

For Digital Nomads like us, vanlife and remote working coupled with the personal freedom to roam, explore, grow and develop, and work from wherever you want to be has become a very attainable lifestyle and worklife goal for many CEO's, business owners and innovators. It opens the gates for more creativity, opportunities and possibilities that just aren't possible when you stay in one place. So get out there!

People regularly ask us about the connection between the business side of the SILKROAD 4.0 concept, and our member networks of innovators, executives, investors, incubators, companies, networks, organisations, technologies.... and then overland expeditions? What do these things have in common? And how are they connected?

SILKROAD 4.0 is above all a network of individuals, innovators, creative minds, people that inspire, develop, build, produce, and provide world-improving solutions. People are the glue that binds it all together as well as the blood that keeps it flowing.

CEO's,  C-level executives,  opinion leaders and technology leaders are invited to participate in the OCI caravan connecting our events along the route and reviving the traditional innovating spirit of the original Silk Route to China as a much-needed cross-cultural business solution for a global,  digitised economy. In particular,  we are inviting senior executives,  diplomats and principals of leading universities to join our business delegation and overland expedition to new regions.

"It's a what?" We've heard this reaction a few times from the people we meet, when we mention the term 'Nomadic Incubator Network™️... And that's understandable, as it's maybe a little different to the way things are usually done... Maybe even a lot different...
